18jun3:00 pm10:00 pmDay 1: Walking Tour of Le Panier District and Bouillabaisse in Les Goudes

Event Details

What better way to begin an epic Marseille adventure then armed with a glass, or in this case, several glasses, of Pastis - the national aperitif of France.  Get acquainted with your fellow adventurers while nibbling on tapenade and tasting through a curated collection of artisanal small production pastises.

Afterward, we’ll take a walk through Marseille’s famous ‘Le Panier’ district before dinner. Le Panier is Marseille’s oldest neighborhood, perched on a hill near the Vieux Port, with narrow streets leading to picturesque squares. Le Panier is known for colorful buildings, interesting shops, and world-famous street art.

For dinner, we head down the coast to Les Goudes, a small picturesque fishing village where time seems to have stopped. We will dine at L’Esplai du Grand Bar des Goudes, eating Marseille’s most famous dish, Bouillabaisse, while watching the sun dip down into the Mediterranean.
